Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. -Winston Churchill
About Me
I could write you an essay and you still wouldn't have solved the riddle that is me, but here goes: My name is Jannah (pronounced like Jenna but instead of "e" think of "a" in Jam). J-A-N-N-A-H, that's right. I have never traveled out of the states and I have never traveled further West than Missouri. I received my Bachelors degree in Biology and Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Columbia College (SC) May 4th, 2013. I'm a little all over the place and so are my interests. I love all things science, with special attention to the special needs populations and all those underrepresented. I have a passion for volunteering and have been doing so since I was 11, not because I like to work for free but because I understand what it’s like to be in need. I like to say that I have a heart for service and an eye for change. I also write poetry, love to keep my nose in a good book, love to cook, love to eat, and recently started on learning to play the guitar (a slooooow work in progress). I hope for Peace Corps to serve as a 2 year long journey in which I will come to know and love myself more on all fronts including spiritually, professionally, and wholly. So come with me on my journey if you'd please?
